Internet i canvis en el sistema de comunicació

Abstract:	L'objecte d'aquest article és analitzar el sistema de comunicació a l'etapa actual de digitalització i d'implantació d'internet, tot procurant interpretar la possible incidència d'aquests canvis en l'espai català de comunicació. De manera introductòria s'aporten dades sobre els principals usos d'internet a Catalunya i s'analitzen les noves lògiques i les noves formes de producció de continguts que afecten tant els mitjans convencionals com altres iniciatives diverses de la societat civil. Cal destacar la importància de la mobilització social i la potencialitat de la llengua i la cultura catalanes en el que s'anomena catosfera, amb la possibilitat de neutralitzar els obstacles que fins ara han imposat els estats amb el seu control de les formes de difusió hertziana. S'afirma, finalment, la importància central de la producció de continguts i la necessitat de noves polítiques culturals i de comunicació que sàpiguen treure profit d'aquestes noves dinàmiques.
Abstract:	The aim of this paper is to analyze the communication system at the actual phase of digitalization and implementation of the Internet, trying to interpret the potential impact of these changes in the Catalan communication space. First of all it provides data on the major uses of the Internet in Catalonia and studies the new logics and new forms of content production that affect both the conventional media as some other civil society initiatives. It is noteworthy the importance of social mobilization and the potential of the Catalan language and culture in what is called catosfera, with the possibility of neutralizing the obstacles that the states have imposed so far with its control of the terrestrial diffusion means. Finally it asserts the essential importance of content production and the need for new cultural and communication policies in order to take advantage of these new dynamics.
