Aquest treball de final de grau vol ser un treball acadèmic de recerca i de documentació sobre l'ús del català a les institucions internacionals, en concret a les Nacions Unides i a la Unió Europea. Per fer-ho, s'estudiarà la funció i el funcionament de les institucions internacionals (la seva formació, el seu format, els seus serveis, etc. ), l'ús de les llengües oficials (quines són, quina cabuda hi té el català, etc. ). Posteriorment s'analitzarà la situació de les llengües minoritàries al món per poder tenir una visió més global i internacional i conèixer més l'actualitat. Finalment s'entrevistarà intèrprets de les Nacions Unides i de la Unió Europea per tal d'adquirir un punt de vista molt més proper i humà. Amb aquests tres grans apartats es pretén extreure una conclusió crítica i objectiva sobre la situació del català a l'actualitat i sobre com poden les institucions ajudar-lo a mantenir-se viu i sa com a llengua. |

Este Trabajo de fin de grado quiere ser un Trabajo académico de investigación y de documentación sobre el uso del catalán en las instituciones internacionales, en concreto en las Naciones Unidas y en la Unión Europea. Para hacerlo, se estudiará la función y el funcionamiento de las instituciones internacionales (su formación, su formato, sus servicios, etc. ), el uso de las lenguas oficiales (cuáles son, qué cabida tiene el catalán, etc. ). Posteriormente se analizará la situación de las lenguas minoritarias en el mundo para poder tener una visión más global e internacional y conocer más la actualidad. Finalmente se entrevistará intérpretes de las Naciones Unidas y de la Unión Europea para adquirir un punto de vista más próximo y humano. Con estos tres grandes apartados se pretende extraer una conclusión crítica y objetiva sobre la situación del catalán en el presente y sobre cómo pueden las instituciones ayudar a mantenerlo vivo y sano como lengua. |

This final Project wants to be an academic Project of investigation about the use of Catalan in the international institutions, specifically in the United Nations and in the European Union. To do so, we will study the function of these international institutions and how they work (their formation, their structure, their services, etc. ), the use of the official languages (which are they, if Catalan could be one or not, etc. ). Afterwards, we will analyse the situation of minority languages in the world to be able to have a more global and international vision and to get to know better the present situation. Finally, we will interview interpreters in the United Nations and in the European Union to acquire a more close and human point of view. With these big three blocks, we pretend to extract a critic and objective conclusion about the actual situation of the Catalan in the present and how can institutions help to keep its health and its future as a language. |
