Convex symmetric rectangular pentagon central configurations

Abstract: A convex rectangular pentagon, also called house-shaped, is a pentagon with the added restriction that two non-adjacent sides have equal lengths, each of which forms a right angle with the intervening side. In this paper, we focus on the existence of central configurations of the 5-body problem, where the five bodies are in a symmetric house-shaped configuration. That is, when the five bodies are located at the vertices of a convex rectangular pentagon, and moreover, the body not belonging to the two parallel sides lies along the symmetry line.
