El objetivo de este artículo es recopilar y traducir al español una selección de textos neoasirios relativos a cimerios y escitas. Muy anteriores a la obra de Heródoto, durante mucho tiempo nuestra principal fuente sobre estos pueblos, constituyen el primer testimonio conocido sobre los nómadas de las estepas occidentales de Eurasia.
L'objectiu d'aquest article és recopilar i traduir a l'espanyol una selecció de textos neoassiris relatius a cimeris i escites. Molt anteriors a l'obra d'Heròdot, durant molt de temps la nostra principal font sobre aquests pobles, constitueixen el primer testimoni conegut sobre els nòmades de les estepes occidentals d'Euràsia.
The aim of this paper is to collect and to translate into Spanish a selection of Neo-Assyrian texts concerning Cimmerians and Scythians. Much older than Herodotus' work, for a long time our main source on theses peoples, they constitute the earliest known attestation of West Eurasian steppe nomads.
