18 p, 6.4 MB Multiphase dolomitization in the Jutana Formation (Cambrian), Salt Range (Pakistan) : evidences from field observations, microscopic studies and isotopic analysis / Khan, S. (Quaid-i-Azam University (Pakistan). Department of Earth Sciences) ; Shah, M. M. (Quaid-i-Azam University (Pakistan). Department of Earth Sciences)
Excellent dolomite exposures are observed in the eastern Salt Range (Pakistan), where the Cambrian Jutana Formation consists of two distinct units (i. e. oolitic - pisolitic unit and massive dolomite unit). [...]

24 p, 5.1 MB C and O stable isotopes and rare earth elements in the Devonian carbonate host rock of the Pivehzhan iron deposit, NE Iran / Najafzadeh Tehrani, P. (University of Tabriz. Department of Earth Sciences) ; Calagari, A. A. (University of Tabriz. Department of Earth Sciences) ; Velasco Roldan, Francisco (Universidad del País Vasco. Departamento de Mineralogía y Petrología) ; Simmonds, V. (University of Tabriz. Research Institute for Fundamental Sciences) ; Siahcheshm, K. (University of Tabriz. Department of Earth Sciences)
The Pivehzhan iron deposit is located at about 80km southwest of Mashhad, NE Iran. It occur within the Devonian carbonates as lenticular and massive bodies, as well as veinlets of magnetite and iron sulphides, transformed to goethite and haematite by weathering process. [...]

13 p, 1.6 MB Diagenesis and Geochemistry of Upper Muschelkalk (Triassic) Buildups and Associated Facies in Catalonia (NE Spain): a paper dedicated to Francesc Calvet / Tucker, M. (University of Durham. Department of Earth Sciences) ; Marshall, Jim (University of Liverpool. Department of Earth Sciences)
Carbonate buildups are well developed in the Triassic Upper Muschelkalk of eastern Spain in the La Riba Unit, but they are completely dolomitised. These mud-mounds with reefal caps have well-developed fibrous and botryoidal marine cements which were probably high-Mg calcite and aragonite originally. [...]
