Cellular therapies with CD4+ T regulatory cells (Tregs) hold promise of efficacious treatment for the variety of autoimmune and allergic diseases as well as posttransplant complications. Nevertheless, current manufacturing of Tregs as a cellular medicinal product varies between different laboratories, which in turn hampers precise comparisons of the results between the studies performed. The effect of migalastat on long-term renal outcomes in enzyme replacement therapy (ERT)-naive and ERT-experienced patients with Fabry disease is not well defined. An integrated posthoc analysis of the phase 3 clinical trials and open-label extension studies was conducted to evaluate long-term changes in renal function in patients with Fabry disease and amenable GLA variants who were treated with migalastat for ≥2 years during these studies. [...] In line with the Brighton Declaration (British Sports Council, 1994), Spanish and Catalan governments have clearly committed to policies for equality in sport. The political desire to resolve situations of inequality in sport is evident, but how can words be transformed into actions? How can these policies be put into practice? How do sports bodies react to these proposals? What effect will they have? What resistances may arise? To study these questions, the research team and the Servei d'Activitat Física (SAF) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), have been working together since 2006-2007 on the design, implementation and evaluation of a project to promote female participation in the SAF.
