We study the global dynamics of the completely integrable Armbruster-Guckenheimer-Kim galactic potential. In these cases this system has two first integrals H1 and H2 independent and in involution. Let Ih1 and Ih2 be the set of points of the phase space on which H1 and H2 take the values h1 and h2, respectively. [...]

In this paper, we show a mechanism to explain transport from the outer to the inner Solar system. Such a mechanism is based on dynamical systems theory. More concretely, we consider a sequence of uncoupled bicircular restricted four-body problems - BR4BP - (involving the Sun, Jupiter, a planet and an infinitesimal mass), being the planet Neptune, Uranus and Saturn. [...]

Departament de Matemàtiques) ; Soler, Jaume (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Departament d'Enginyeria Civil i Ambiental)
In this paper we analyse the ejection-collision (EC) orbits of the planar restricted three body problem. Being μ∈(0, 0. 5] the mass parameter, and taking the big (small) primary with mass 1 − μ (μ), an EC orbit will be an orbit that ejects from the big primary, does an excursion and collides with it. Institut de Matemàtiques) ; Jorba, Àngel (Universitat de Barcelona. Departament de Matemàtiques i Informàtica) ; Mondelo González, José María (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Matemàtiques)
The Augmented Hill Three-Body problem is an extension of the classical Hill problem that, among other applications, has been used to model the motion of a solar sail around an asteroid. This model is a 3 degrees of freedom (3DoF) Hamiltonian system that depends on four parameters. [...]

In this paper we work with a two-degree polynomial differential system in R3 related with the canard phenomena. We show that this system is completely integrable, and we provide its global phase portrait in the Poincaré ball using the Poincaré-Lyapunov compactification.

The subject of this paper concerns with a class of Rössler systems that admits conserved quantities. For this class of systems a complete description of the global dynamics in the Poincaré sphere is provided.

Escola Politècnica Superior d'Enginyeria de Manresa) ; Ollé, Merce (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona)
The main purpose of the paper is the study of the motion of a massless body attracted, under the Newton's law of gravitation, by two equal masses moving in parabolic orbits all over in the same plane, the planar parabolic restricted three-body problem. [...]

Let X be a germ of holomorphic vector field at 0 2 Cn and let E be a linear subspace of Cn which is invariant for the linear part of X at 0. We give a suficient condition that imply the existence of a non-singular invariant manifold tangent to E at 0. [...]

68 p, 5.5 MB Computing invariant manifolds for libration point missions / Mondelo González, José María (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Matemàtiques)
The goal of this lecture is to review several methodologies for the computation of invariant manifolds, having in mind the needs of preliminary mission design of libration point missions. Because of this, the methods reviewed are developed for and applied to the circular, spatial restricted three-body problem (RTBP), although most of them can be applied with few changes, or almost none, to general dynamical systems.
