Del reconocimiento a la reputación de las revistas científicas

La editorial que publicamos trata un tema que nos preocupa: la viabilidad de las revistas diamante y, en concreto, de "Grafica" y, en especial, de nuestra revista espejo, "Questiones Publicitarias". Presentamos indicadores de rendimiento editorial y visibilidad de cada una de las dos revistas y planteamos que, si bien ambas tienen un mismo equipo editorial, los resultados no son idénticos. [...]
The editorial that we publish deals with an issue that concerns us, the viability of diamond journals, "Grafica" and especially, our mirror journal, "Questiones Publicitarias". We present indicators of editorial performance and visibility of each of the two journals and propose that although both have the same editorial team, the results are not identical. [...]

Las revistas científicas son como cualquier otro producto, un bien que produce unos efectos en los públicos. Estos efectos pueden ser de índole objetiva o bien de índole subjetiva. En el caso de las revistas científicas, el valor que se da a cada publicación abarca aspectos que van, entre otros, desde la valoración del número de citas o la cantidad de idiomas en el que publica, o los tiempos de edición, hasta aspectos más subjetivos como el ámbito al que pertenecen o la calidad atribuida a los autores o a los artículos. Journals are like any other product, a good that produces effects on the public. These effects can be of an objective nature or of a subjective nature. In the case of journals, the value given to each publication covers aspects that range, among others, from the assessment of the number of citations or the number of languages in which it publishes, or the editing times, to other more important aspects subjective such as the field to which they belong or the quality attributed to the authors or articles.
