This article analyzes two figures, a literary one and a historical one, through some sonnets of the Italian Renaissance. This is a new critical edition of Carmen in laudem Raimundi Berengarii IV, with new hypotheses about the date and place of its composition (Lérida, immediately after its reconquest in 1149) and possible attribution of authorship to Poncio, canon of the Cathedral of Barcelona and notary of the Count Chancellery.

El objetivo de esta breve nota es ofrecer una interpretación complementaria de la presencia de pequeñas serpientes en el Ara Pacis Augustae: en opinión del autor, no es sólo decorativa, sino también simbólica, y está relacionada con la mítica fundación de Alejandría por Alejandro Magno.
The aim of this brief note is to offer a complementary interpretation of the presence of little snakes in Augustus' Ara Pacis. It is not only decorative, but -in the author's opinion- symbolic too, and related to the mythological foundation of Alexandria by Alexander the Great.

Il saggio indaga alcuni luoghi delle Rime e dei Poemetti di Tansillo per mettere in luce il recupero di moduli e stilemi "epigrammatici" che il poeta propone nella sua opera. L'indagine di carattere retorico, ivi comprese all'occorrenza osservazioni metriche, è intrecciata con l'esame dell'intertestualità nei confronti della tradizione classica, biblica e rinascimentale, latina e volgare.
The essay focuses on specimens of Tansillo's poetry both in short (Rime) and extended form (Poemetti) in order to highlight the resort to "epigrammatic" fea- tures that the poet shows in his work. The rhetorical and when needed metrical analysis of the selected passages is intertwined with the exam of the intertextuality of Tansillo's lines with the classical and biblical tradition and with the Latin and Italian poetry from the Reinaissance.
