In this paper we characterize the phase portraits of the Leslie-Gower model for competition among species. We give the complete description of their phase portraits in the Poincaré disc (i. e. , in the compactification of ℝ adding the circle S of the infinity) modulo topological equivalence. [...]

We classify the global dynamics of a family of Kolmogorov systems depend-ing on three parameters which has ecological meaning as it modelizes a predator-prey system. We obtain all their topologically distinct global phase portraits in the positive quadrant of the Poincaré disc, so we provide all the possible distinct dynamics of these systems.

We study a population model with two preys and one predator, considering a Holling type II functional response for the interaction between first prey and predator and taking into account indirect effect of predation. [...]

Today, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aldabra Atoll is home to about 100 000 giant tortoises, Aldabrachelys gigantea, whose fossil record goes back to the Late Pleistocene. New Late Pleistocene fossils (age ca. [...]

A ratio-dependent predator-prey model with stage structure for prey was investigated in [8]. There the authors mentioned that they were unable to show if such a model admits limit cycles when the unique equilibrium point E ∗ at the positive octant is unstable. [...]

We prove that the limit cycle oscillations of the celebrated Rosenzweig-MacArthur differential system and other predator-prey models are non-algebraic.

In this paper we study the global dynamics of 3-dimensional predator prey Lotka-Volterra systems, which describes two predators competing for food or shared one resource. From theoretical analysis on all parameters of this system, we show that if the resource for prey is limited, then there exist some values of parameters such that two predators and one prey coexist and their population are asymptotic to steady states. We study the competition between two species according the following modification of the Holling-Tanner II model x'= x[r(1 −x/K)−qy/x2 + a], y' = sy (1 −y/nx + c). Of course, x ≥ 0, y ≥ 0 and the parameters a, c, K, n, q, r and s are positive. [...]
