Collection of documents of Dr. Pedro Pascual de Sans (1934-2006), catalan physicist born in Sevilla, professor at the Universitat de València (1963-1971) and from 1971 at the Universitat de Barcelona. It is one of the personal scientific archives more importants for the history of the spanish physics and the contemporary scientific policy. It contains the correspondence of Dr. Pascual between 1962-2002, a lot of administrative documentation about the Grupo Interuniversitario de Física Teórica (G.I.F.T.), the Academic Comittee of the Universitat de Barcelona, the Fundació Bosch i Gimpera, the Parc Científic de Barcelona and others; and an vast quantity of manuscript lecture notes about physical subjects. There are more of 3.400 documents related to the intense academic, administrative and research activity in the fields of physics and scientific policy of Dr. Pascual pertaining to the Centro de Ciencias de Benasque Pedro Pascual which authorized its digitisation and diffusion. Description of documents is based in the inventory and catalog made by Servei d’Arxius de Ciència. In this exhibition of the Library of Science and Technology the documents of this fund are related to the Spanish scientific policy in the field of physics during the 50s and 60s. These collections have been deposited and classified on the initiative of the Science Archives Service (SAC) of the Institute for the History of Science (IHC). |
