Publicacions matemàtiques

Publicacions Matemàtiques (ISSN: 0214-1493 print, 2014-4350 online) is a journal that publishes research quality articles about all fields of mathematics, and from time to time, also proceedings. This publication began to work in 1976 under the title Publicacions de la Secció de Matemàtiques (ISSN: 0210-2978 print, 2014-4369 online). In 1988, a new format and a new editorial board was introduced which gave rise to the second stage of the publication.

In this paper we describe how to compute a Saito basis of a cusp, a plane curve with only one Puiseux pair. Moreover, the 1-forms of the Saito basis that we obtain are characterized in terms of their divisorial orders associated to the "cuspidal" divisor of the minimal reduction of singularities of the cusp. Let p be a prime. In this paper we provide a lower bound for the number of almost p-rational characters of degree coprime to p in the principal p-block of a finite group of order divisible by p. We further describe the p-local structure of the groups for which the above-mentioned bound is sharp.
