Orígenes del patrioterismo futbolístico nacional Subject: El objeto de estudio se centra en analizar cómo, cuándo y por qué se incorporó e institucionalizó el fútbol en el ejército español y cuál fue su incidencia en su posterior desarrollo y masificación. A partir de los textos originales y un análisis crítico del discurso se ofrece una interpretación original de este proceso desde la histórica social, cuando el fútbol se convierte en un sutil instrumento al servicio de los poderes subyacentes del Estado. En el contexto de una coyuntura bélica nacional (Guerra de Marruecos, 1909-1927) e internacional (Primera Guerra Mundial, 1914-1918), el movimiento regeneracionista elaboró un discurso de fomento del fútbol por sus notables valores y condiciones en el proceso de preparación físico-militar de la tropa española, que generó un intenso debate que discutía sobre su introducción en el estamento militar español. Los ecos de la práctica y difusión del fútbol en la Primera Guerra Mundial y el triunfo aliado con la imposición de su modelo (también el deportivo), la implantación creciente del fútbol en el territorio español con un alto crecimiento de practicantes y la creación de nuevos clubes, el éxito del fútbol español en la Olimpiada de Amberes en 1920 que trajo el nacimiento de la ‘furia española’, y la estrecha analogía en la terminología y el léxico deportivo-militar del fútbol contribuyeron a su institucionalización en el ejército español entre 1919 y 1920. Tras estas circunstancias se arraigan las raíces de lo que se puede llamar el patrioterismo futbolístico español, una construcción simbólica que ha llegado hasta nuestros días como dispositivo
