Our study aims to analyse the current tourism planning and management in the area, in order to determine to which extent it has been conceived and developed as a whole in a consistent way. We combine the analysis of primary and secondary sources with fieldwork, including 23 semi-structured interviewees. The qualitative approach, based on the interviewees’ narratives, is privileged.En el territorio fronterizo entre el Sur de Galicia (España) y el Norte de Portugal, se han firmado distintos acuerdos con el fin de intentar establecer un marco común de gestión para el conjunto del espacio natural protegido Gerês-Xurés, sobre todo con la declaración de una Reserva de la Biosfera por la UNESCO en 2009. Nuestro estudio pretende analizar la ordenación turística actual de este espacio, para poder determinar hasta qué punto se ha concebido y desarrollado de manera coordinada.
