Title:           Imaginarios en conflicto sobre el trabajo doméstico: responsabilidad, privilegio, supervisión y aprendizaje
Subject:         Partiendo del marco conceptual de women as gatekeepers, el artículo analiza los discursos de mujeres y hombres en torno al trabajo doméstico con el fin de profundizar en las tendencias de cambio respecto a los usos del tiempo. Para ello, se toma en consideración el juego de percepciones e influencias sobre el rol de las mujeres y los hombres dentro del hogar, y como estos influyen en sus respectivos comportamientos. En concreto, se plantea un doble objetivo: captar los imaginarios que sustentan los comportamientos de género dentro del hogar; así como los relatos acerca de las relaciones de control e influencia que se establecen entre ellas y ellos. A partir de una estrategia metodológica cualitativa basada en la realización de grupos de discusión, los principales resultados apuntan que las mujeres perciben falta de responsabilidad masculina, mientras que los hombres perciben vigilancia femenina. Como consecuencia, se observa una relación de aprendizaje donde la responsabilidad femenina explica por qué las mujeres ejercen de supervisoras, mientras que los hombres se acomodan en el rol de aprendices ostentando el privilegio masculino de la elección. En definitiva, se observa cómo el hecho de que los hombres dediquen más tiempo al trabajo doméstico no implica necesariamente que sean más corresponsables.
