En la formació de qualsevol estudiant de l'àrea de l'economia, les assignatures de matemàtiques tenen una doble funció. D'una banda, permeten adquirir el conjunt de conceptes, instruments tècnics i eines de raonament consistent que són necessaris per al bon desenvolupament de moltes altres matèries en les que s'utilitzen eines d'anàlisi quantitatives. De l'altra, proporcionen l'ocasió d'aprofundir en temes rellevants relatius al plantejament i resolució de problemes a l'entorn econòmic i empresarial. En aquest sentit, l'assignatura de Matemàtiques I té també un paper anivellador, que ha de permetre a l'estudiant adquirir i consolidar els seus coneixements i habilitats per a comprendre i manipular correctament els conceptes i eines matemàtiques bàsiques relatius a l'anàlisi d'una variable real. A més ha de poder plantejar i treballar, en l'entorn univariant, amb models i problemes senzills que tinguin components de l'economia i de l'empresa. Per això, els objectius que es pretenen assolir són els següents: 1. Familiaritzar a l'estudiant amb la formulació i el raonament matemàtic. 2. Introduir el paper de models matemàtics a l'economia i l'empresa. 3. Identificar i saber manipular les principals famílies de funcions. 4. Treballar amb derivades i resoldre límits de funcions d'una variable. 5. Entendre i saber determinar les propietats bàsiques que exhibeixen les funcions d'una variable. 1 Matemàtiques I 2015 - 2016 6. Representar gràficament funcions d'una variable. 7. Resoldre problemes d'optimització en una variable. 8. Determinar primitives i calcular integrals emprant les tècniques bàsiques d'integració. En acabar el curs, l'estudiant haurà de ser capaç de treballar correctament amb les tècniques elementals de càlcul (derivades, límits, integració), d'explicar els càlculs efectuats i aplicar-los a funcions i models concrets, així com d'efectuar raonaments de manera estructurada. La formació bàsica en matemàtiques es continua i completa amb l'assignatura Matemàtiques II, on s'aborda l'estudi de funcions de més d'una variable. Així doncs, l'assoliment de les nocions bàsiques de l'anàlisi en una variable real que proporciona aquesta primera assignatura de la matèria són també clau per a la treballar correctament la segona. |

In the education of any student of the area of economics, the courses of mathematics have a dual function. On the one hand, they convey the set of concepts, tools of consistent reasoning and technical tools necessary for the proper development of many other subjects using quantitative analysis. On the other hand, they provide the opportunity for an in-depth analysis of important issues dealing with the setting and solving problems in the economic and business environment. In this sense, the course of Mathematics I has a leveling role that should enable students to acquire and consolidate their knowledge and skills to correctly understand and handle basic mathematical concepts and tools of real univariate analysis. Also, the course must allow to work with simple models inspired by economics and business problems. The objectives of the course are thus, 1. To familiarize students with the mathematical formulation and reasoning. 2. To introduce the role of mathematical models in economics and business. 3. To identify and learn how to manipulate the main families of functions. 4. To working with derivatives and solve limits of functions of one variable. 5. To understand and learn how to determine the basic properties of real functions of one variable. 6. To introduce the graphical representation techniques of functions of one variable. 7. To solve optimization problems in one variable. 8. To learn the basic integration techniques. At the end of the course, students must be able to use the elementary calculus techniques (derivatives, limits, integration), to explain the way these techniques are used, and to apply them to particular functions and models, as well as to develop coherent reasoning. 1 Mathematics I 2015 - 2016 Basic training in mathematics continues with the courseMathematics II dealing with the study of real functions of several variables. Thus, the achievement of the basic notions of analysis in real functions of one variable are also key to follow properly this sequel. |
