Resum:	Analysing the way how Barbie dolls interfere within the cultural world of very young female children, this contribution explores the new forms of figurativity involved as regards the perception of feminine body. The specific roles and functions of this type of dolls among other kinds of toys is also examined, in relation with a narrative and figurative devices used in recent advertisement campaings about fashion for young people in Brazil.
