Écfrasis y film-ensayo

Abstract:	The recent revolution in the documentary field has produce a new form called Film-essay. This form, allowing the possibility of thinking the cinema beyond the scope of the dramatic genre to which has been traditionally related, opens the door to making an approach to the truly complexity of its expositive texture. Comparing several aspects of the documentary with the literary ekphrasis, some of the transcendental traits of the former are underlined. This traits are in the core of the essay form, and are also the ones that allow the images to be transformed in thinking tools.
Abstract:	La reciente revolución que se ha producido en el campo del documental ha dado lugar a un nuevo modo, denominado film-ensayo, que desplaza el cine más allá del ámbito de lo dramático, con el que tradicionalmente se ha sido relacionado, y pone en primer término la fenomenología de las imágenes que lo conforman, al tiempo que permite acercarse a la verdadera complejidad de su textura expositiva. Mediante la comparación de algunos aspectos del documental con la écfrasis literaria, se ponen de relieve algunas características trascendentales del mismo que están en la base de la forma ensayo, así como de la posibilidad de convertir las imágenes en herramientas de reflexión.
