Resum:	Art as a sign-system is embedded in the very texture of culture and reflects its structure both at the simple representational level, which is understood as one of sensory information, and at a meta-representational level, which is one of symbolic activity. Hence, reading the structural logic of art leads to various levels of the meaning of the body of culture, as the intertwining of the sensory field and the reflecting mind. The paper discusses the perceptual impacts of the technological developments in the domain of digitalization and raises the question how aesthetic concepts reflect this cultural state. The art of video-installation reflects these categories at the sign-structural level and at the level of signification. With the semiotic analysis of its polyphonic and synaesthetic form, the essay defines the parameters of the open-ended context of the poetic space of the video-installation in which experiences unfold.
