Resumen:	Este articulo narra los anos de formación de Eliseo Veron en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires a partir de 1955, año que coincide con la caída del gobierno de Juan Domingo Perón y el inicio de una renovación en la vida universitaria donde Veron participará activamente en la revista Centro, órgano del Centro de Estudiantes de dicha facultad. El título de esta contribución está tomado del homenaje que Veron realiza a Lévi-Strauss en ocasión de su muerte. Muestra ya el descubrimiento y la transición hacia la semiología prefigurando los cursos que dará luego en la École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales a partir de los años 1973. Roland Barthes fue quien lo introdujo en la institución y lo hizo nombrar Director de Estudios asociado, cuando Veron vuelve a Paris para establecerse por un largo periodo. Por último la tercera parte de esta contribución remite a la «interfaz» entre teoría y práctica social con una investigación para la RATP (la poderosa red de subterráneos de Paris) que fue una de las primeras tentativas de interacción entre la investigación universitaria y la sociedad, prefigurando lo que sería en los años 80 y 90 su trabajo como profesional en estudios de Semiotica aplicada.
Resumen:	This article narrates the years of formation of Eliseo Veron in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires from 1955, year that coincides with the fall of the government of Juan Domingo Perón and the beginning of a renewal in university life where Veron will actively participate in Centro magazine, the review of the Student Center of that Faculty. The title of this contribution is taken from the homage that Veron makes to Levi-Strauss. It shows the discovery and the transition to semiology prefiguring the courses he will give later in the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Social since 1973. Roland Barthes was the one who introduced him to the institution and made him appoint Associate Director of Studies, when Veron returned to Paris to establish himself for a long period. Finally, the third part of this contribution refers to the "interface" between social theory and practice and research for the RATP (the powerful underground network of Paris) that was one of the first attempts at interaction between university research and society, prefiguring what would be in the 80s and 90s his work as a professional in studies of applied Semiotics.
