Es tracta d'una assignatura de tercer curs, de tipus obligatori, on el principal objectiu és introduir a l'alumne en les bases de la producció i sanitat, especialment d'aquelles espècies aqüícoles destinades al consum humà o d'interès. Per això, com a objectius formatius es busca que en finalitzar la matèria l'estudiant sigui capaç de: a) Conèixer les principals característiques del medi aquàtic i comprendre la influència que tenen sobre la fisiologia, el sistema de cultiu i l'estat sanitari de les espèces aqüàtiques i, per tant, la repercusió que tenen sobre la producció, salut i benestar dels animals. b) Conèixer i entendre les característiques i diversitats dels principals sistemes de producció d'espècies aquàtiques d'interès comercial que existeixen. c) Conèixer les malalties més importants en espècies d'aqüicultura, el seu diagnòstic, prevenció i tractament. 1 Aquesta assignatura inclou activitats realitzades en anglès, identificades en aquesta guia docent com DA (Docència Anglès). |

It is a core third-year subject. The main objective is to introduce the student into the bases of the production and health manag Following these studies, the students should: a) Know the main characteristics of the aquatic environment and understand the influence in the physiology, the culture system b) Know and understand the characteristics and diversity of the main aquatic production systems. c) Know and identify the most relevant diseases in aquatic/aquaculture species, their diagnosis, prevention and treatment. 1 This subject includes activities carried out in English, identified in this teaching guide as DA (English Teaching/Docència en An Main skills • Analyze, synthesize, solve problems and make and take decisions. • Communicate the information obtained during the professional practice with fluency, speaking &writing, with other colleagues • English communication skills . • Diagnose the different animal diseases, individually and in groups. Knowledge of preventive measures, with special focus on • Diagnose the most common diseases by using different general and instrumental techniques. • Carry out a necropsy, including the description of the lesions found, sampling, storage, transport and processing • Collect, preserve and send all kinds of samples with the corresponding report. Se trata de una asignatura de tercer curso, de tipo obligatorio, donde el principal objetivo es introducir al alumno en las bases de la producción y sanidad, especialmente de aquellas especies acuícolas destinadas a consumo humano o de interés. Por ello, como objetivos formativos se busca que, al finalizar la materia, el estudiante sea capaz de: a) Conocer las principales características del medio acuático y comprender la influencia que tienen sobre la fisiología, el sistema de cultivo y el estado sanitario de las especies acuáticas y, por tanto, la repercusión que tienen sobre la producción, salud y bienestar de los animales. b) Conocer y entender las características y diversidades de los principales sistemas de producción de especies acuáticas de interés comercial que existen. c) Conocer las enfermedades más importantes en especies acuícolas, su diagnóstico, prevención y tratamiento.
