Resum:	This chapter examines the construction of CBC in the Basque Country - specifically, the autonomous communities of the Basque Country and Navarre on the Spanish side and those in the region of Nouvelle Aquitaine (known also as "Aquitaine" until 2015) on the French side. The period examined runs from the first initiatives in the 1980s until today. That is an ideal time frame to examine, because over the past thirty-five years a considerable number of CBC proposals have been consolidated. Those proposals have involved different territorial levels, depending on the actors and, more broadly, on their political perspectives and the issues they want to address.
