Resum:	The roughly fifty series analyzed here offer a very full panorama of 21st century TV, marked, as it is well known, by the rise of the streaming platforms (Netflix was launched as a streaming service in January 2007). The essays are organized in chronological order with the intention of inviting readers to judge for themselves whether there has been any progress in the representation of gender and the body in the Anglophone miniseries selected.
