Resum:	En este artículo se revisará el motivo del fantasma como recurso de lo fantástico mediante el acercamiento al concepto freudiano de lo unheimlich en las serie House y On being an angel de la fotógrafa estadounidense Francesca Woodman, en las que refleja el escamoteo de su propia representación ante el espectador y una deliberada confusión con un ambiente decadente. En las líneas que siguen mostraremos cómo Woodman lleva a cabo una reescritura del fantasma como agente transformador «fruto simbólico de una violencia que quiere ser historia» en palabras de Sandra Gasparini (2020: 148), capaz de posibilitar la reparación de un trauma colectivo femenino como el encierro de las mujeres en el hogar reflejado por las escritoras victorianas y la tradición del "female gothic". La obra de Woodman cultiva una perspectiva artística que anhela ir más allá de los límites físicos y mentales que han relegado a las autoras al umbral del canon.
Resum:	This article will review the motif of the ghost as a resource of the fantastic by approaching the Freudian concept of the unheimlich in the series House and On being an angel by the American photographer Francesca Woodman, in which she reflects the concealment of her own representation before the viewer and a deliberate confusion with a decadent environment. In the following lines we will show how Woodman carries out a rewriting of the ghost as a transforming agent "symbolic fruit of a violence that wants to be history" in the words of Sandra Gasparini, capable of making possible the reparation of a collective female trauma such as the confinement of women in the home reflected by Victorian writers and the tradition of "female gothic". Woodman's work cultivates an artistic perspective that yearns to go beyond the physical and mental limits that have relegated women authors to the threshold of the canon.
