Introduction: Spasticity or hyper resistance is a condition that causes an abnormal increase in muscle tone, making it difficult to move the affected limbs and limiting the person's functionality. This alteration is one of the main sequelae in post-stroke patients and can have a profound impact on their quality of life and daily independence. Objectives: The main goal of the project is to determine if localized vibration therapy compared to the Perfetti method is more effective than the Perfetti method by itself, in improving spasticity in post-stroke patients. Methodology: Randomized single-blind clinical trial, an interventional and longitudinal method. Patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke ACM (PACI) with spasticity, specifically of the anterior brachial will be divided randomly. In the intervention group, localized vibration therapy and Perfetti exercises will be performed, while in the control group only Perfetti will be applied. We will use thirty physiotherapists who will be blinded. Twelve of them in the intervention group, six for vibration therapy and another six for Perfetti, twelve more will be in the control group, while the last six will be the main evaluators of the primary and secondary variables with an initial, intermediate and final assessment in the intervention phase. The patients will perform two sessions per week for 3 months, a total of 24 sessions and with the assessments we will have 3 records of change per patient. In the statistical analysis to determine significant differences in the results; the Shapiro Wilk test, the t-Student and the Wilcoxon test will be used. The results will be statistically significant when p < 0. 05. Conclusion: The similarity with studies analyzed in this work suggests that localized vibration therapy together with the Perfetti method, is effective in reducing spasticity in post-stroke patients. In the future, new research with more resources and support from studies like this will allow us to delve into more precise and detailed results. |
