Las orationes fictae son elementos importantes tanto de las obras históricas como de la sátira menipea de la época clásica y humanista, y las encontramos también en las obras quevedianas de ambos géneros. En el presente trabajo se estudian algunas características de los discursos en la Hora de Todos, entre ellas la relación entre el narrador y los personajes de los oradores, el contexto ficcional de los discursos, su estructura, su función y su recepción a la luz de los resultados de precedentes investigaciones sobre las orationes fictae en la narración histórica quevediana. En esta perspectiva es importante el análisis del cuadro XXXV porque ofrece una reflexión más general acerca del papel de la oratoria política bajo un régimen absolutista y por estas razones puede compararse con la tercera secuencia de Marco Bruto. |

Orationes fictae are important elements, both in historical works and in the Menippean satire of Classical and Humanistic times, and are to be found in both types of work amongst Quevedo's writings. In the present study some of the characteristics of the speeches in la Hora de todos are examined, including the relationship between the narrator and the speakers, the fictional context of the speeches, and their structure, function and reception, in the light of previous studies of the orationes fictae in Quevedo's historical narratives. In this context, the analysis of Cuadro XXXV is especially important because it offers a more general reflection concerning the role of political oratory under an absolutist regime, and therefore lends itself to comparison with the third sequence of Marco Bruto. |
