Conscientes del valor que las cartas privadas de mujeres tienen en la actual investigación, el presente trabajo sintetiza los primeros resultados obtenidos en el análisis de un voluminoso conjunto epistolar femenino de ámbito transatlántico recuperado en el Archivo General de la Nación de Méjico. Private correspondence as a source and object of study has become a privileged space in the recent historical research of the modern period. By being aware of the value that private women's letters have in the current research, this work synthesizes the first results obtained in the analysis of a voluminous feminine epistolary set of transatlantic.
scope, which was recovered in the General Archive of the Nation of Mexico. More than half of these letters were sent by women from Spain to the Viceroyalty of New Spain. A large part of these women did not belong to the elites, as is often the case in other rescued letters.
