Everett-DeWitt interpretations of quantum physics speak of a multiplicity of physically coexisting worlds. These imaginative reactions to the conceptual problems of standard quantum mechanics form a family of physicalist "many-worlds" proposals (PMW for short) that have been variously dismissed as "incoherent", so far without full success. Is really David Lewis a realist?

Paradoxically, concerning the structure of the world, David Lewis endorses a very nominalistic point of view, whereas he approaches possible worlds from an extreme realistic position. The aim of the present paper is exactly to analyze the relation between the ontology of actual world and the possible worlds ontology in the case of David Lewis, and to see whether or not this tension between the two irreconcilable positions is based on an inner contradiction in his philosophy.

La virtualidad es una peculiaridad propia de los sistemas de representación, dada su capacidad de ir más allá del aquí y el ahora, y de su acción sobre nosotros. El trabajo aborda, desde el marco de la filosofía analítica, algunas maneras de entender cómo las virtuales entidades abstractas son reales, presentando las dificultades de Frege para reconocer como reales a los pensamientos; y las reflexiones de Carnap y Quine relativas a las entidades abstractas, a las que conceden un peso ontológico específico al formar parte de un sistema de representación, sea este un marco lingüístico o una teoría.

En este trabajo se trazan las herramientas lógico-materiales que permitan clasificar las distintas concepciones sobre el ser humano suscitadas por la interconexión de ordenadores o Ciberespacio. Se utiliza como modelo el concepto « inestable » de sujeto ético de Spinoza que permite recorrer múltiples figuras de la tradición occidental y de sus asociados ciberespaciales.
This paper presents the logical-material tools that allow us to classify the different conceptions of the human being as elicited by computer interconnections of Cyberspace. The model used here is Spinoza's « unstable » ethic subject, which allows reviewing various figures of the western tradition and their corresponding cyberspace items.

Realidades popperianas y mecanismos leibnizianos en internet

Este artículo propone organizar la información de Internet siguiendo un modelo popperiano inspirado en el Mundo III de Kart R. Popper. Este modelo dota a los documentos de una identidad que trasciende su singularidad física y muestra cómo la estructura interna de documentos y páginas web está vinculada con mecanismos leibnizianos.
This paper suggests organizing Internet's information through a popperian model coming from Karl R. Popper's World III. This model provides documents with an identity that goes beyond its physical singularity and shows how the internal structure of documents and web pages is linked with leibnizian mechanisms.
