3D interconnected nanowire scaffoldings are shown to increase the thermoelectric efficiency in comparison to similar diameter 1D nanowires and films grown under similar electrodeposition conditions. We critically address the problem of predicting the thermal boundary resistance at the interface between two semiconductors by atomistic simulations.
