Tratamos en este trabajo sobre los matrimonios de Rodrigo de Mendoza, primer marqués del Cenete, sus azarosas circunstancias y sus consecuencias a través de un largo proceso que se inició en 1492, mediante las capitulaciones matrimoniales por su boda con Leonor de la Cerda, y finalizó en 1594, tras las conclusiones de fray Pedro de Álava con respecto a la legitimación de su segunda unión con María de Fonseca, casi un siglo después de esta. [...] En aquest treball tractem sobre els matrimonis de Rodrigo de Mendoza, primer marquès del Cenete, les seves atzaroses circumstàncies i les seves conseqüències a través d'un llarg procés que es va iniciar el 1492, mitjançant les capitulacions matrimonials per les seves noces amb Leonor de la Cerda, i va finalitzar el 1594, després de les conclusions de fra Pedro de Álava pel que fa a la legitimació de la seva segona unió amb María de Fonseca, gairebé un segle després d'aquesta. [...] This paper examines the marriages of Rodrigo de Mendoza, I Marquis of Cenete, the eventful circumstances surrounding them and their consequences through a long process that began in 1492 with the prenuptial agreement prior to his marriage to Leonor de la Cerda and ended in 1594 following the conclusions of Fray Pedro de Álava concerning the legitimacy of his second marriage to María de Fonseca, nearly a century later.
