Plant functional traits directly affect ecosystem functions. At the species level, trait combinations depend on trade-offs representing different ecological strategies, but at the community level trait combinations are expected to be decoupled from these trade-offs because different strategies can facilitate co-existence within communities. The increasing success of invasive plant species in wetland areas can threaten their capacity to store carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus (C, N, and P). Here, we have investigated the relationships between the different stocks of soil organic carbon (SOC), and total C, N, and P pools in the plant–soil system from eight different wetland areas across the South‐East coast of China, where the invasive tallgrass Spartina alterniflora has replaced the native tall grasses Phragmites australis and the mangrove communities, originally dominated by the native species Kandelia obovata and Avicennia marina. Steel slag, a by-product of the steel industry, contains high amounts of active iron oxide and silica which can act as an oxidizing agent in agricultural soils. Biochar is a rich source of carbon, and the combined application of biochar and steel slag is assumed to have positive impacts on soil properties as well as plant growth, which are yet to be validated scientifically. It has been demonstrated that high amounts of a-tocopherol added to the layer's diet (above 200 ppm) have a protective effect on egg lipid oxidation. However it is very important to establish the minimum levels of a-tocopherol needed in diets not only to effectively prevent lipid oxidation in animal products but also to be acceptable economically.

Ecological stoichiometry aims to explain the organism life style and the ecosystem structure and function in relation to the environment and organism C:N:P ratios. One of the central paradigms of ecological stoichiometry is the growth rate hypothesis (GRH) proposing that growing organisms must increase their allocation of P to RNA to meet the elevated demands for the synthesis of proteins required for growth.
The elemental stoichiometry variability of organisms caused for ontogeny and the changes in environmental conditions is linked with metabonomics variability. This is due that elements operate as a piece of molecular components. [...]

Consumption of products enriched in co3 fatty acids such broiler meat or eggs are associated to health benefits. However, the increase in unsaturation of the lipids present in the food may cause a reduction in its oxidative stability, decreasing its nutritive and organoleptic value and producing toxic lipid oxidation products. With the aim to establish the required amount of α-tocopherol to effectively prevent lipid oxidation in w3 FA enriched eggs, a trial was conducted with 2XX laying hens. Birds were randomly assigned to four treatments resulted from supplying a basal diet containing 5% of linseed oil (diet: 65% PUFA, 34,5% m3) with 0 (C), 50 (50E), 100 (I00E) or 200 (200E) ppm of alpha-tocopherol acetate. A trial with 192 laying hens was conducted to study the effect of Vitamin E and Canthaxanthin as antioxidants in w3 either w6 fatty acid (FA) enriched eggs. The animals were randomlyassigned to eight treatments resulted from the supplementation of a basal dietcontaining5% of linseed oil (L) orsunfloweroil (S) with 200 ppm ofutocopheryl acetate (LE and SE), 5ppm of Canthaxathin(LC and SC) or both (LEG and SEC). [...]
