15 p, 9.6 MB Geochemical approach for decoding the paleoenvironmental and depositional evolution of a coastal lacustrine Konservat-Lagerstätte (Early Cretaceous, south-Central Pyrenees) / Gil-Delgado, Alejandro (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Geologia) ; Cruset, David (Geosciences Barcelona) ; Oms, O (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Geologia) ; Botero, Edgar (Technische Universitaat Hamburg-Harburg) ; Ibánez-Insa, Jordi (Geosciences Barcelona) ; Delclòs Alió, Xavier (Universitat de Barcelona. Departament de Dinàmica de la Terra i de l'Oceà) ; Sellés, Albert G (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Galobart, Àngel (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Mercedes Martin, Ramon (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Geologia)
The lithographic limestone of La Pedrera de Meià (LPM) in south-Central Pyrenees (NE Spain) is considered one of the best preserved lacustrine-coastal successions of the Early Cretaceous in Europe, hosting a taxonomically diverse record of Barremian biota. [...]

31 p, 19.6 MB The Early Cretaceous coastal lake Konservat-Lagerstätte of La Pedrera de Meià (Southern Pyrenees) / Gil-Delgado, Alejandro (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Geologia) ; Martínez-Delclòs, Xavier (Universitat de Barcelona. Departament de Dinàmica de la Terra i de l'Oceà) ; Sellés, Albert G. (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Galobart, Àngel (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Oms, O. (Oriol) (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Geologia)
A state of the art of the Barremian Konservat-Lagerstätte of la Pedrera de Meià site (Southern Pyrenees) is compiled here including the acquisition of new geological data. The relevance of this site, together with the nearby la Cabroa site, is due to its paleobiotic richness and the fact that 113 holotypes and paratypes of flora and fauna have already been defined. 21 p, 800.1 KB The spread of fossil heritage : How to valorise the lithographic limestones of the La Pedrera de Meià and La Cabroa quarries in the orígens Unesco Global Geopark (Southern Pyrenees, Catalonia) / Galobart, Àngel (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Párraga, Javier (Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle du Havre) ; Gil-Delgado, Alejandro (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Geologia)
The Orígens Geopark UGGp situated in Lleida (Catalonia) is characterized by a rich Early Cretaceous paleontological heritage. One of the most impressive fossil collections comes from the La Pedrera de Meià quarry (Vilanova de Meià village), which has provided a huge amount of lithographic limestone slabs with vertebrates, non-vertebrates (including insects), plants and coprolites of Barremian age (about 125 mya) preserved as two-dimensional structures that show even the soft parts and several three dimensional fossils, mainly vertebrates. [...]

36 p, 11.4 MB A titanosaurian sauropod with Gondwanan affinities in the latest Cretaceous of Europe / Vila, Bernat (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Sellés, Albert G. (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Moreno-Azanza, Miguel (Universidad de Zaragoza. Paleontología/Grupo Aragosaurus-IUCA) ; Razzolini, Novella L. (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Gil-Delgado, Alejandro (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Geologia) ; Canudo, José Ignacio (Universidad de Zaragoza. Paleontología/Grupo Aragosaurus-IUCA) ; Galobart, Àngel (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont)
The origin of the last sauropod dinosaur communities in Europe and their evolution during the final 15 million years of the Cretaceous have become a complex phylogenetic and palaeobiogeographic puzzle characterized by the controversy on the alleged coexistence of immigrant, Gondwana-related taxa alongside relictual and insular clades. [...]
