El virus de la diarrea epidèmica porcina és un coronavirus amb gran impacte en la cabana porquina mundial. Un equip d'investigadors de la UAB i del CReSA ha analitzat la immunitat dels porcs enfront aquest virus i els casos de reinfecció, i ha extret conclusions extrapolables al SARS-CoV-2 humà. El virus de la diarrea epidémica porcina es un coronavirus con gran impacto en la cabaña porcina mundial. Un equipo de investigadores de la UAB y del CReSA ha analizado la inmunidad de los cerdos frente a este virus y los casos de reinfección, y han extraído conclusiones extrapolables al SARS-CoV-2 humano. The porcine epidemic diarrhoea virus is a coronavirus with a great impact on the worldwide swine industry. A UAB-CReSA research team has analysed the immunity against this virus and have drawn conclusions that can be extrapolated to human SARS-CoV-2.

PRRSV-1 virulent strains cause high fever, marked respiratory disease and severe lesions in lung and lymphoid organs.
