11 p, 1.5 MB Brassinosteroid signaling in plant development and adaptation to stress / Planas Riverola, Ainoa (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Gupta, Aditi (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Betegón Putze, Isabel (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Bosch, Nadja (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Ibañes, Marta (Universitat de Barcelona) ; Caño Delgado, Ana I. (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica)
Brassinosteroids (BRs) are steroid hormones that are essential for plant growth and development. These hormones control the division, elongation and differentiation of various cell types throughout the entire plant life cycle. [...]

18 p, 3.7 MB A Sizer model for cell differentiation in Arabidopsis thaliana root growth / Pavelescu, Irina (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Vilarrasa Blasi, Josep (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Planas Riverola, Ainoa (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; González‐García, Mary‐Paz (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Caño Delgado, Ana I. (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Ibañes, Marta (Universitat de Barcelona. Institut de Recerca en Sistemes Complexos)
Plant roots grow due to cell division in the meristem and subsequent cell elongation and differentiation, a tightly coordinated process that ensures growth and adaptation to the changing environment. [...]

21 p, 16.5 MB Paracrine brassinosteroid signaling at the stem cell niche controls cellular regeneration / Lozano Elena, Fidel (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Planas Riverola, Ainoa (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Vilarrasa Blasi, Josep (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica) ; Schwab, Rebecca (Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory) ; Caño Delgado, Ana I. (Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica)
Stem cell regeneration is crucial for both cell turnover and tissue healing in multicellular organisms. In Arabidopsis roots, a reduced group of cells known as the quiescent center (QC) act as a cell reservoir for surrounding stem cells during both normal growth and in response to external damage. [...]

1 p, 532.1 KB Telomeres and telomerase in ovarian cancer / Planas Riverola, Ainoa ; Tusell Padrós, Laura, dir. (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Biologia Cel·lular, de Fisiologia i d'Immunologia) ; Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Facultat de Biociències
Ovarian cancer is the 6th most frequent and the most lethal of the gynaecological cancer; is its oestrogen dependent and it is associated with mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. Both oestrogens and progesterone, and BRCA1 gene have important roles in the regulation of telomerase and telomeres, key structures in development and in progress in every epithelial cancer.
