The Ribota site (Ágreda, Soria, Spain) is a new locality in the Matute Formation (Tithonian-Berriasian) composed of several carbonate layers, outstandingly rich in macrovertebrate remains. Fossils show an unusual replacement of the original bioapatite by quartz, and are found as positive reliefs protruding from lacustrine limestone beds. [...]

26 p, 17.5 MB Neuroanatomy of the crocodylomorph Portugalosuchus azenhae from the late cretaceous of Portugal / Puértolas Pascual, Eduardo (Universidad de Zaragoza. Departamento de Ciencias de la Tierra. Aragosaurus-IUCA) ; Kuzmin, Ivan T. (Saint Petersburg State University. Department of Vertebrate Zoology) ; Serrano-Martínez, Alejandro (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Mateus, Octávio (Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Departamento de Ciências da Terra FCT)
We present the first detailed braincase anatomical description and neuroanatomical study of Portugalosuchus azenhae, from the Cenomanian (Late Cretaceous) of Portugal. This eusuchian crocodylomorph was originally described as a putative Crocodylia and one of the oldest representatives of this clade; however, its phylogenetic position remains controversial. [...]

94 p, 4.1 MB A new look at Crocodylopodus meijidei : implications for crocodylomorph locomotion / Castanera, Diego (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Pascual Arribas, Carlos ; Canudo, José Ignacio (Universidad de Zaragoza. Grupo Aragosaurus-IUCA) ; Puértolas Pascual, Eduardo (Universidad de Zaragoza. Grupo Aragosaurus-IUCA)
A review of the type material of the crocodylomorph ichnotaxon Crocodylopodus meijidei Fuentes Vidarte and Meijide Calvo, 2001 from the Berriasian of Spain is carried out. The review allows a better characterization of this type ichnotaxon and provides interesting new data on the candidate trackmakers and especially on their locomotion. [...]

The South-Pyrenean Basin (northeastern Spain) has yielded a rich and diverse record of Upper Cretaceous (uppermost Campanian−uppermost Maastrichtian) vertebrate fossils, including the remains of some of the last European dinosaurs prior to the Cretaceous-Paleogene (K-Pg) extinction event. [...]

(Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont)
The controversial European genus Allodaposuchus is currently composed of two species (A. precedens, A. subjuniperus) and it has been traditionally considered a basal eusuchian clade of crocodylomorphs. [...]
