In the framework of models that assume planar domain wall formed at the antiferromagnetic part of the interface of exchange-biased bilayers, one cannot distinguish between the cases of high or low ratios between the coupling and the antiferromagnet’s anisotropy fields by using hysteresis loop measurement, ferromagnetic resonance, anisotropic magnetoresistance, or ac susceptibility techniques applied on one and the same sample. We report the shock‐wave synthesis at a yield ≳80% by volume of the single copper layer thalliumsuperconductor of composition Tl2Ba2CuO6. The as‐synthesized material displays zero resistance near 55 K and a diamagnetic onset to bulk superconductivity at 70 K. [...]

Ferrimagnetic spinel CoFe2O4 (CFO) films are integrated with Si(111) using Sc2O3 buffer layers. The huge lattice mismatch (17%) between CFO and Sc2O3 is accommodated by domain matching, and CFO grows epitaxially with (111) out-of-plane orientation and coexistence of A- and B-type in-plane crystal variants.
