The Library System of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona introduced in 2000 a quality assurance system based on standard UNE-EN-ISO 9002:1994. This communication describes the stages of its implementation, how has been addressed some of the requirements of the standard and the advantages and challenges posed by having a certificated quality system.
El Servei de Biblioteques de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona ha implantado un sistema de aseguramiento de la calidad basado en la norma UNE-EN-ISO 9002:1994. En esta comunicación se describen las fases de su implementación, la manera como han sido enfocados algunos de los requerimientos de la norma y las ventajas y los retos que supone disponer de un sistema de calidad certificado.
