[...] In this paper, we present an unpublished manuscript by the Catalan biblical scholar Eduard Bosch Bellver (1921-2004). Although the text is untitled and undated, we have been able to determine that it consists of the notes Bosch wrote for a summer course called «Los libros históricos del Antiguo Testamento» (Historical Books of the Old Testament), given at the Borja Centre in 1981. Understanding the drivers of speciation is fundamental in evolutionary biology, and recent studies highlight hybridization as an important evolutionary force. Using whole-genome sequencing data from 22 species of guenons (tribe Cercopithecini), one of the world's largest primate radiations, we show that rampant gene flow characterizes their evolutionary history and identify ancient hybridization across deeply divergent lineages that differ in ecology, morphology, and karyotypes. Miltiades B. Hatzopoulos

Molina Marín, Antonio Ignacio
To speak about Miltiades V. Hatzopoulos is to do it of one of the greatest remaining scholars not only of Alexander the Great, but also of a region of his homeland: Macedonia. This Athenian, born in 1944, is one of the last representatives of a disappearing class of researcher. [...] [...]

Hansen's disease (leprosy), widespread in medieval Europe, is today mainly prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions with around 200,000 new cases reported annually. Despite its long history and appearance in historical records, its origins and past dissemination patterns are still widely unknown. [...]

Sophistry and law : the antilogical pattern of judicial debate
/
Giombini, Stefania (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament de Dret Públic i de Ciències Historicojurídiques)
This essay aims to reveal the relationship between sophistry and law in a twofold direc- tion: on one side, how the development of ancient Greek law influenced sophistry's production, and on the other, how and to what extent the knowledge and skills developed by sophists contributed to the development of legal expertise in classical Athens.
