Blázquez-Salom, Macià (Universitat de les Illes Balears. Departamento de Geografía) ;
[...] For scientific headway to be made in the field of social science today, direct contact with analysed phenomena is all-important. The research hypothesis we put forward is that, just like practical laboratory work, fieldwork is an indispensable tool in tourism geography in guaranteeing rigorous scientific studies. [...]

In this paper, Gilberto Esparza's work, Nomad Plants, is heard as an artistic wake-up call to become aware of the Anthropocene and the collapse that this Era heralds. Esparza's work assumes the posture that there's the need of a mutation in our way of thinking, in which the paradigm shift is essential. [...]

[...] This article explores the toxic landscapes and their importance in light of the Anthropocene. It begins by proposing the concept of hybrid landscape as a substitute for the cultural landscape. Based on the relational materialism of the Actor-Network Theory and neo-vitalism, a renewed conception of landscape more attentive to the interweaving between humans and non-humans is defended. [...]

[...] The complex nature of ecological crisis postulates different versions and causalities to explain contemporary environmental changes.
