En este artículo se resume el estado actual de nuestros conocimientos sobre las relaciones entre griegos e indígenas en torno a Empórion a partir de tres ámbitos de estudio que se consideran fundamentales para la comprensión de la evolución de dicho enclave: el comercio, la ocupación del territorio y la definición de su estatuto político y jurídico.
The aim of this article is to summarise our current state of knowledge about the relationship between Greeks and native inhabitants in Empórion. We deal with three main subjects which are considered fundamental to our understanding of the development of this site: trade, territorial occupation and definition of its political and juridical status.
