Sobre la preservació digital s'han repetit sovint una sèrie d'afirmacions basades en fets que ja no es dónen, com l'obsolescència de formats, la corrupció de fitxers, etc. En aquesta presentació se'n rebaten alguns a partir de la ponència de David Rosenthal «How are we ensuring the longevity of Digital Documents» i les iniciatives de la California Digital Library.
There are a few long-time myths about digital preservation that are based in facts no longer current, like format obsolescence, file corruption, etc. We'll examine some of them, following the "How are we ensuring the longevity of Digital Documents" talk by David Rosenthal and the California Digital Library initiatives.
