El cambio de contenido de los «territorios geográficos y morfológicos», de las «piezas estructurantes» y «elementos arteriales» y de los «espacios inciertos» ha articulado un sistema territorial abierto donde se ha producido tanto la ocupación de los intersticios municipales como el crecimiento difuso en el territorio.
