This article presents the study of an illuminated missal from the monastery of Alcobaça (BNP, Alc. 252). The analysis of the liturgical content and the materiality of the codex, including here the illumination and the binding, as well as a comparative study with other manuscripts from the same monastery, will allow us to confirm its origin in the scriptorium of Alcobaça, to determine its dating, to understand its context of production and use(s), and to take into account the evolution of the liturgical-material characteristics of the codex.

Photoreforming promoted by metal oxide nanophotocatalysts is an attractive route for clean and sustainable hydrogen generation. In the present work, we propose for the first time the use of supported MnO nanosystems, both pure and functionalized with Au nanoparticles (NPs), for hydrogen generation by photoreforming. [...]

[...] Iconographical study of the three jugglers represented, without any biblical context, in the Romanesque Mural Paintings of Sant Joan de Boí (Catalonia). The research of their iconographical origin and their signification, allows us to look into the transmission of this repertoire through the Early Medieval Manuscript Illumination.

[...] Some of the urban representations designed in the Beatus of Girona and Saint-Sever differ from models used in the others families of Early Medieval Apocalypses. This original feature appears as a result of the chosen perspective --vertical projection of elements as a simulation of virtual depth-- in the images of the most important cities in the eschatologic christian thought: Heavenly Jerusalem and Babylon.
