En este ensayo se propone un modelo sociosemiótico de análisis para la crítica del arte fotográfico y se lo aplica en Kinderwunsch (2006-2013), obra de la artista Ana Casas Broda. El modelo tiene como base los Fundamentos de la teoría de los signos de Charles Morris (1985) y permite realizar una valoración e interpretación semántica, sintáctica y pragmática de una obra fotográfica.
