A partir de entrevistas a adolescentes de diferentes barrios de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, este trabajo explora cómo se reconfigura para estos usuarios la esfera de lo íntimo en Facebook. El objetivo fue indagar sobre las representaciones de jóvenes de 17 y 18 años en relación con este tema: por medio de entrevistas en profundidad, se interrogó a los adolescentes acerca de sus criterios para publicar contenidos en la red social, la proliferación de rumores en la plataforma y la necesidad de preservar determinadas informaciones de la mirada de los otros, especialmente de los adultos. This paper analyzes how teenagers from different neighborhoods of Buenos Aires (Argentina) value their privacy in Facebook, and how these users decide what information they reveal about themselves. Several 17 and 18-year-old adolescents were interviewed in depth, in order to explore their criteria for publishing information in the social network, as well as their perceptions towards the proliferation of gossip and rumors in the platform, and the need to restrict public access to certain personal information, especially in order to avoid adult control. The U. S. Census Bureau has the responsibility to release high quality data products while maintaining the confidentiality promised to all respondents under Title 13 of the U. S. Code. This paper describes a Microdata Analysis System (MAS) that is currently under development, which will allow users to receive certain statistical analyses of Census Bureau data, such as crosstabulations and regressions, without ever having access to the data themselves.
