This article sheds light on the author of Omnibona, an anonymous Castillian utopia written around 1540, which has survived in a single manuscript preserved in the Real Academia de la Historia. Although the text has been known since the early years of the 19th century, it has never received much scholarly attention; therefore, matters such as the date of its composition or its original title are still being discussed by those few scholars who have attempted to analyse this literary work.
