El objetivo del presente artículo es el de reconstruir el proceso de creación del Instituto Ibérico Oriental en Barcelona tras la guerra civil española. En este sentido se analiza el fundamento teórico del proyecto, las personas involucradas en el mismo así como las posibles causas de su fracaso.
The aim of this paper is to reconstruct the creation process of the Instituto Ibérico Oriental in Barcelona after the Spanish civil war. In order to do so, we analyze the theoretical basis of the project, the individuals involved in its creation as well as the possible causes of its failure.

Se propone una tipología formal de seis categories dónde se discuten algunas de las cuestiones relativas como las predominantes formas femeninas, su decoración,usos y significado.
