Departament d'Economia i d'Història Econòmica) ; Neme, Alejandro (Instituto de Matemática Aplicada San Luis (Argentina))
We study individually rational rules to be used toallot, among a group of agents, a perfectly divisiblegood that is freely available only in whole units. Arule is individually rational if, at each preferenceprofile, each agent finds that her allotment is at leastas good as any whole unit of the good. [...]

Dekel et al. (2001) extends Kreps' (1979) model for preference over menus of deterministic alternatives to a model for preference over menus of lotteries. They show that a simple set of axioms characterizes a representation that can be interpreted as if the agent is uncertain about her future tastes. [...]

A decision-maker exhibits preference for flexibility if he always prefers any set of alternatives to its subsets, even when two of them contain the same best element. Desire for flexibility can be explained as the consequence of the agent's uncertainty along a two-stage process, where he must first preselect a subset of alternatives from which to make a final choice later on.
The central idea of this final degree project is to create a web application that recommends a gift to the user based on their preferences. To achieve this, it will be necessary to work on different areas of programming, software engineering, and data engineering, in addition to conducting research to consult the state of the art of prediction systems and analyze the results obtained in order to conclude which model reacts best to this data.

We consider a set of agents who have to choose one alternative among a finite set of social alternatives. A final allocation is a pair given by the selected alternative and the group of its users. Agents have crowding preferences over allocations: between any pair of allocations with the same alternative, they prefer the allocation with the largest number of users. [...]
