This paper turns around the concept of the new soviet veteran culture, derived from de war experience in Afghanistan between 1979-1989. The aim of this paper is present the key elements and consequences that represent the new demobilization culture in the USSR, starting from the basis that, as a subcultre regardinf the youth, its defined not only by the war trauma but for the context of social, political, military and countercultural crisis linked with the soviet youth generatrion of the 80's.
