14 p, 4.4 MB The first Italian specimen of Austriadactylus cristatus (Diapsida, Pterosauria) from the Norian (Upper Triassic) of the Carnic Prealps / Dalla Vecchia, Fabio (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont)
The Triassic pterosaur Austriadactylus cristatus is reported for the first time from the Norian (Upper Triassic) of north-eastern Italy. It is only the second specimen of this taxon and provides new information on the mandibular dentition, cranium and postcranium (cervical vertebrae and the forelimb), not available in the holotype. 30 p, 6.7 MB Anatomy and systematics of the pterosaur Carniadactylus gen. n. rosenfeldi (Dalla Vechia, 1995) / Dalla Vecchia, Fabio (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont)
The holotype specimen of the non-pterodactyloid pterosaur Eudimorphodon rosenfeldi from the Late Triassic (Norian) of NE Italy is described in detail and compared to the other specimens referred in literature to the genus Eudimorphodon. [...]

10 p, 564.9 KB Proposal for a uniform data standard for ichnological 3D tracking and post-processing / Petruzzeli, Marco (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Razzolini, Novella (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Francescangeli, Ruggero (Università Degli Studi di Bari "Aldo Moro")
Vertebrate fossil tracks have been studied through 3D modelling techniques during the last two decades to improve tracking procedures. Different laser scanners and software have been used during field investigation and this differentiation caused incompatibility between many analysis programs. [...]

14 p, 617.6 KB First record of a Notosuchian crocodyliform from Italy / Dalla Vecchia, Fabio (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Cau, Andrea (Museo Geologico Giovanni Capellini)
A serrated tooth from the Coniacian-Santonian (Upper Cretaceous) Polazzo fossil site (Karst, NE Italy) is the first record of a notosuchian crocodyliform from Italy. Although it shares synapomorphies with teeth referred to the European genus Doratodon and with the Gondwanan genus Araripesuchus, it is distinct in the unusual combination of features, suggesting the presence of a yet unreported notosuchian taxon in the Adriatic-Dinaric Carbonate Platform located in the Tethys between the Afroarabian continent and the North European landmass during Late Cretaceous times. 16 p, 723.9 KB Review of the dinosaur record from Iran with the description of new material / Kellner, Alexander W. A. (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Museu Nacional. Departament de Geologia e Paleontologia) ; Dalla Vecchia, Fabio (Institut Català Miquel Crusafont) ; Ataabadi, Majid Mirzaie (Chinese Academy of Sciences. Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology) ; De Paula-Silva, Helder (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Museu Nacional. Departament de Geologia e Paleontologia) ; Khosravi, E. (University of Tehran. Departament of Biology)
The dinosaur record from Iran includes footprints from the Liassic Ab-e-Haji Formation of Neizar Valley (Kerman Province, central-eastern Iran), a single footprint from the Javaherdeh Formation near Zerab (Alborz Mounts, NE Iran), and skeletal remains from the Late Jurassic-earliest Cretaceous Ravar Formation of the Ab Bid Syncline (Kerman Province). 12 p, 730.5 KB Comparing the body mass variations in endemic insular species of the Genus Prolagus (Ochotonidae, Lagomorpha) in the pleistocene of Sardinia (Italy) / Moncunill Solé, Blanca (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Tuveri, C. (Soprintendenza Archeologia della Sardegna) ; Arca, M. (Soprintendenza Archeologia della Sardegna) ; Angelone, Chiara (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont)
Prolagus figaro and P. sardus are part of an endemic insular anagenetic lineage that populated Sardinia since the earliest Late Pliocene to Holocene. BM of some populations of these two species was calculated using regression models. [...]

20 p, 2.9 MB New insights on Paludotona, an insular endemic lagomorph (Mammalia) from the Tusco-Sardinian palaeobioprovince (Italy, Turolian, late Miocene) / Angelone, Chiara (Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont) ; Čermák, Stanislav (Institute of Geology of the Czech Academy of Sciences) ; Rook, Lorenzo (Università di Firenze. Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra)
The first vertebrate genus described from the Baccinello-Cinigiano Basin, Paludotona, is here revised almost 6 decades after its original description, with the inclusion of new material. Paludotona is an endemic insular lagomorph that inhabited the Tusco-Sardinian Palaeobioprovince during the late Miocene (Turolian), in the time span between 8. [...]
